Goodbye Apartment

My apartment building in Bucktown got sold to be turned into yet more condos. It was a slum for the most part and my new place is a step up, but I really liked my bedroom window. The ivy sprung up over the summer, starting to grow through to the inside. I hope it takes over and tears the building down.

I finally got back to Oregon for a week-long visit to Portland/Eugene. Didn't get to see everyone I wanted, but just hanging out and taking it easy was fantastico. It's already the wet, grey fall/winter while still in the 80s back in Chicago but I did get in a really nice bike ride along the river from St. Johns to the Broadway bridge.

Great food.
